Our Story

Il Villaggio Restaurant & Bar has been a beloved part of the Cherry Hill community since we opened our doors in January 2013. What began as a shared dream between two sets of brothers has grown into a true neighborhood institution that continues to welcome guests year after year.

Under the culinary direction of our Executive Chef and Partner, Elton Lelaj, the kitchens at both Il Villaggio and our sister restaurant, Duo Restaurant & Bar. We operate as a genuine scratch kitchen; every dish is made in-house daily using the freshest ingredients, with an emphasis on house-made pastas, premium seafood, tender steaks, and classic Italian favorites, all prepared with care and passion.

Our Tuscan-inspired dining rooms, complete with cozy fireplaces and intimate seating, were designed to feel like an extension of home — warm, welcoming, and perfect for lingering over great food and conversation. Whether you’re joining us for a romantic dinner, a family celebration, or a casual night at the bar, our goal has always been the same: to treat every guest — and every team member — like family.

In 2026, we expanded the dream with Duo Restaurant & Bar in Haddon Township, bringing the same family-owned values and commitment to quality to a new neighborhood. But Il Villaggio remains the original home — the place where it all started and where our loyal guests continue to return.
